creative circularity

Reducing the footprint of our collections is not just about limiting emissions: it is about rethinking each collection, from its design to its second life. Our products are therefore made to last a long time, without excess. They include goals of circularity to limit the waste of resources. A simple design, meant to endure through time, that combines beauty and responsibility at every stage of its making.

durability of the object

Combining usefulness, beauty, and responsibility is what guides each Trone creation. Our items are designed to accompany you throughout their lifetime, true to their purpose as well as their beauty. A ceramic bowl is made to last up to 75 years, a tap about 15. At Trone, we design our toilets and taps so that, throughout this time, every spare part, even on the oldest models, can be easily repaired or replaced.

responsible pottery

The double firing of the ceramic with gas and electricity is the main source of carbon emissions from our products. We work to optimize our yields to limit waste of material and energy, through the continuous improvement of our glazes. And when a piece does not meet our standards, it does not disappear. If the flaw is minor, it finds its place in our collection The Imperfects, where it continues to live, unique, beautiful, and functional. If the flaw is more significant, it is broken into pieces, and these pieces become our samples.

choice of materials

To give our creations a second life, we choose from the start materials designed for their recyclability. Earthenware, aluminium, duroplast: all are reshaped in other production lines, to be reborn as useful and lasting objects.

recycled packaging

Our packaging is designed primarily to be practical and responsible. Made in Hauts-de-France, they use recycled cardboard produced less than 100km from the production site and water-based inks, thus reducing their carbon footprint.
