a story of encounters
Trone is primarily a story of encounters and French artisanal know-how.
The meeting with Lionel H, which led to our first colorful ceramic bowls. The discovery of Lionel T, who continues a family story in his cabinetmaking workshop in Arras. That of Frédéric, whose knowledge of metal and the precision of his production tools have allowed us to machine parts with minimal tolerances.
"Our needs are evolving and our search for expertise is now extending to Europe, particularly Italy, where we manufacture a large part of our ceramics."
ceramic princess
Ceramics is an ancestral art,
and his work requires expertise
which is becoming rare. The slip (paste
(departure) is first cast into
a plaster mold then dried
for about a week, according to
the seasons. In the meantime, the grinding
and the mixing of the enamels takes place, him
thereby giving it its color.
Once the drying is complete,
the glazing is applied to the piece
in flood. The latter is then
fired in a kiln at 1270°C for
24h, which gives the ceramic of
our wc design in translucency, its
soundness and its solidity.
the warmth of wood
Our WC glasses are shaped
wood for the warmth it offers this
material during the seating and for
the environmental impact
negligible that he has in opposition to the
plastic. They are then varnished,
to match their shade with
the color of our toilets in
ceramics, and ensure their
robustness and their resistance to
daily aggressions of
cleaning products.
the precision of the metal
In order to highlight the purity of the
design of the tank of our WC
design while ensuring durability
and optimal quality, our
caps have been machined from
aluminum. Deep drawing, machining
then engraving is thus put in
work to elevate them. One
last surface treatment, by
anodization, allows to give them
their final appearance as well as a
protection against all odds
to shocks and cleaning products.
